Regenerative Farming Techniques

We run 1 day workshops and 2 day residential courses throughout the year on our farm in Dorset. The workshops are from 10 - 3pm and include a light lunch. The courses are run from the old dairy in the courtyard of our popular B&B, where you will stay for 2 nights, arriving on Friday evening for an informal supper and leaving on Sunday afternoon.

The farm is mainly sheep grazing pasture with some lovely ancient woodland, which was part of the medieval Gillingham Royal Forest. Rachel took over the farm a few years ago, and has taken it back to species rich grassland for hay and herb rich pastures for the sheep. The farm is carefully managed with areas of wildflowers and new woodland with a great variety of wildlife and Rachel farms following regenerative principles, paying particular attention to the health of the soil, biodiversity, the welfare of the flock and keeping carbon where it should be - in the soil.

After running a natural skincare business Kate qualified as a medical herbalist in 2014 and has since run her own clinic from Neals Yard stores, worked as the medical herbalist for The Breast Cancer Haven, lectured for the College of Naturopathic Medicine and run courses, talks and workshops for all ages throughout the country.
